Nights turn warmer across Gujarat; IMD reports temperature spike
November 26, 2025
Gandhinagar: Night temperatures across Gujarat continue to rise, with several cities recording above-normal minimum temperatures as per today’s weather report of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Ahmedabad registered a minimum temperature of 18.3°C, which is 2.3°C above normal, indicating a warmer-than-usual night. Vadodara also saw a similar trend, recording 19.8°C, 3.0°C above normal. Coastal cities such as Surat (20.2°C, +1.3°C) and Bhavnagar (19.0°C, +1.1°C) showed a continued upward trend in night-time temperatures.
In contrast, a few locations such as Bhuj (15.4°C, -0.7°C), Dwarka (19.4°C, -1.1°C), and Porbandar (16.4°C, -1.5°C) recorded slightly below-normal minimums, though nights remain generally mild — not that chilly per se for late November.
Rajkot recorded one of the cooler nights in Saurashtra at 15.0°C, still 2.2°C below normal, even as the daytime temperature remained steady at 32.6°C.
The coldest town of the state, Naliya, which had dropped below 10 degrees earlier, is also seeing a rise in mercury, with the minimum temperature now at 12°C.
Humidity levels were notably high in several cities Naliya (87%), Daman (88%), and Rajkot (86%) while rainfall remained absent across all reporting stations. DeshGujarat
