Nitin Gadkari visits Surat to inspect Vadodara-Mumbai section of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

Surat: Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari arrived in Surat on Thursday morning to survey the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway section of the Delhi-Mumbai Express Highway that passes through the district.
Gadkari is scheduled to conduct both aerial and on-ground inspections of the expressway work. It is also learnt that he will examine a 100-kilometre stretch of National Highway 53.
The Union Transport Minister, who arrived in Gujarat on Wednesday, inspected ongoing work on NH 48 near Rasulpur village in Sabarkantha district, along with Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Later, at the Leela Hotel in the state capital Gandhinagar, both leaders held a review meeting with officials of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI), contractors, and state government officials.
During his Surat visit, the minister will meet officials to review traffic conditions and discuss measures to improve them. He will also carry out an aerial survey of a 200-km stretch of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway passing through Surat district.
