PM Modi likely to inaugurate 2nd VGRC on January 10 in Rajkot

Rajkot: The 2nd edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch–Saurashtra region will be held at Marwadi University in Rajkot from January 10 to 12, 2026, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to inaugurate the event on January 10.
Ahead of the high-profile conference, state departments have stepped up preparations, with a key focus on ensuring uninterrupted power supply. Additional Chief Secretary of the Energy and Petrochemicals Department S.J. Haider visited the university campus along with his team to review arrangements and provide guidance to officials.
According to PGVCL officials, special power arrangements are being planned in view of the Prime Minister’s presence, including feeder-level planning and technical preparedness to prevent any disruption. Detailed discussions were held on the venue layout, inauguration site, parking arrangements, exhibition halls, and crowd movement during a two-hour coordination meeting involving officials from Marwadi University, GIDC, and GSPL.
