Warmer nights across Gujarat as minimum temperatures stay above normal

Ahmedabad: Gujarat experienced relatively mild to slightly warmer-than-normal nights across most regions, according to the Indian Meteorological Department’s weather report issued at 8.30 am on Monday, as minimum temperatures largely remained above normal at several stations.
In major cities, Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 17.2°C, which was 4.2°C above normal. Vadodara (Baroda) saw its night temperature settle at 14.2°C, marginally 0.8°C above normal. Rajkot recorded a minimum of 14.5°C, 0.9°C above normal, while Surat remained relatively warmer with a minimum temperature of 19.4°C, standing 3.3°C above normal.
Among other parts of the state, Amreli recorded a minimum temperature of 13.0°C, close to normal, while Bhavnagar reported 16.0°C, 1.5°C above normal. Deesa saw a comparatively higher departure, with the minimum temperature at 14.9°C, 4.1°C above normal. Gandhinagar recorded 16.5°C, which was 5.0°C above normal.
In the Kutch region, Bhuj registered a minimum temperature of 17.2°C, a significant 5.3°C above normal, while Naliya recorded 15.2°C, 4.7°C above normal. Kandla reported a minimum of 17.6°C, 2.8°C above normal. Coastal areas such as Dwarka and Okha remained warmer, with minimum temperatures of 19.7°C and 22.0°C, respectively.
Further in the coastal region, Diu recorded a minimum temperature of 13.2°C, normal for the season, while Porbandar and Veraval reported 15.2°C and 16.9°C, respectively. Daman recorded a minimum of 17.0°C.
Overall, the weather across Gujarat remained dry, with night temperatures showing a general trend of being near to above normal, particularly across north Gujarat and parts of Kutch. DeshGujarat
