Seven killed in horrific truck–van collision in Valsad

Valsad: In a tragic road accident at the Kumbhghat stretch in Kaprada taluka of Valsad, seven members of a family lost their lives after a collision between a truck and an Eeco van on Friday.
According to preliminary information, five occupants of the car died on the spot, while two others who sustained critical injuries were rushed to a nearby hospital. However, both succumbed to their injuries during treatment, taking the total death toll to seven.
The accident occurred at a sharp bend at Kumbhghat when the Eeco van reportedly collided with a stationary truck. The impact was so severe that the rear portion of the vehicle was completely crushed, leaving it mangled beyond recognition.
Locals described the scene as devastating, with debris scattered across the road. Rescue efforts were launched immediately after nearby residents heard the loud crash and rushed to the spot to pull out the trapped occupants.
The victims were residents of Amba Jungle village in Kaprada taluka. The family was travelling together in the Eeco van when the accident took place.
Police teams reached the spot shortly after the incident and initiated further legal proceedings. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and an investigation has been launched to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. DeshGujarat
