Over 9,400 NA Land Conversion Applications Filed in Ahmedabad in One Year

Ahmedabad: A total of 9,442 applications seeking non-agricultural (NA) permission were received in Ahmedabad city and district over the past one year, the Gujarat government informed the Legislative Assembly.
In a written reply to a question raised by an MLA, the government provided details of applications received till January 25, 2026, for converting agricultural land into non-agricultural use.
According to the data, 1,458 applications were received in Ahmedabad city, while 7,984 applications were submitted in Ahmedabad district, taking the combined total to 9,442 applications.
Out of these, 547 applications in Ahmedabad city were approved and 153 remained pending. In Ahmedabad district, 4,022 applications were approved, while 825 were pending.
Overall, 4,996 applications were granted approval, while 978 applications were pending as of January 25, 2026. DeshGujarat
