Surat – Mangaluru Express Regularised; Direct Link to Goa and Karnataka

Ahmedabad: Western Railway has announced the regularisation of the 09057/09058 Surat–Mangaluru Special as Train No. 19057/19058 Surat–Mangaluru Express, providing direct rail connectivity between South Gujarat, the Konkan region and coastal Karnataka. The train will run on a bi-weekly basis.

According to Western Railway, Train No. 19057 Surat–Mangaluru Express will depart from Surat every Wednesday and Sunday at 19:35 hrs and reach Mangaluru at 19:45 hrs on Thursday and Monday respectively.

Similarly, Train No. 19058 Mangaluru–Surat Express will depart from Mangaluru every Thursday and Monday at 22:30 hrs and will reach Surat at 23:45 hrs on Friday and Tuesday respectively.

During the journey, the train will pass through Kaman Road, Roha and Thokur among key operational points, apart from major commercial stoppages along the route.

The train will halt at several important stations, including Udhna, Valsad, Vapi, Palghar, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon, Canacona, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor, Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal.

Railway officials said the train will significantly improve connectivity from South Gujarat to Goa, the Konkan belt and Karnataka, benefiting passengers travelling for business, tourism and pilgrimage.

The train will be maintained at Udhna/Surat, with terminal maintenance at Mangaluru, while watering facilities will be provided at Panvel, Ratnagiri and Madgaon. The rake composition will include general coaches, sleeper class and air-conditioned coaches as per Western Railway. DeshGujarat
