Ahmedabad to Get Key Flyover Bridge on March 29
March 28, 2026
Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel is scheduled to inaugurate the long-awaited Sattadhar flyover in the Ghatlodiya area of the city this Sunday (March 29).
The 975-metre-long, 16.5-metre-wide, four-lane flyover has been constructed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost of ₹103.63 crore.
Once operational, it will improve connectivity between key areas such as Ghatlodiya, Sola, Thaltej, and Chanakyapuri, which currently face frequent traffic snarls and diversions. Thousands of motorists are expected to benefit from the project, with reduced congestion at the busy Sattadhar intersection and shorter travel times.
Along with the bridge structure, associated infrastructure works such as pavements, medians, street lighting, and other essential facilities have also been completed. The flyover has been long awaited, with construction having begun in 2023. DeshGujarat
