NHAI Toll Rate Hike on Expressways and National Highways in Gujarat to Take Effect from April 1

Vadodara: Toll charges on National Highways and expressways across the country, including key routes in Gujarat, will be revised from April 1 onwards, with motorists expected to pay an additional ₹5 to ₹20 depending on the vehicle category.

Officials said the hike, averaging between 3% and 5%, will apply to major corridors and is likely to increase transportation costs, potentially impacting overall prices in the logistics sector.

At the same time, toll plazas will move towards fully digital payments, with collections to be made only through FASTag or UPI, and cash payments being phased out.

On the Vadodara–Ahmedabad Expressway (NE1), the toll for cars and jeeps will increase to ₹145. Light commercial vehicles (LCVs) and minibuses will be charged ₹235, while buses and trucks will pay ₹490.
