A police complaint has been filed against Gujarat’s largest Alpha one mall, opened recently just opposite Vastrapur lake in Ahmedabad for discharging waste water into Vastrapur lake.
The mall owned by construction firm from outside Gujarat is in controversy for its bid to open non-veg giant KFC brand restaurant in its premises amidst strong protest from locals.
Vastrapur lake is local hang out for youths and families. It is the only well developed lake in west Ahmedabad. Couple of days back, locals found that Alpha one mall had no official drainage connection and it was discharging waste water through a flexible line to Vastrapur lake.
