Narendra Modi visits R&D centre of Huawei, Invites Huawei to set up R&D centre in Gujarat

On the fifth day of his tour to China, Chief Minister Narendra Modi in Chengdu took visit of high-tech research and development centre of Huawei Technologies, a world-famous company in the field of technology.
Giving details of the State’s strides in the field of technology Chief Minister said that Gujarat has set up a broadband network in all its 18,000 villages and has successfully uplifted the quality of life of its people with the use of latest technology. The state has been on the top in the implementation of e-governance projects. There is a great scope for the telecom manufacturing and engineering equipment business in Gujarat.
Chief Minister also discussed with office bearers of Huawei to set up an R&D centre in Gujarat.
Huawei has more than one lakh IT technocrats working in the 26 regions of the world, said company officials in their presentation. The company’s telecom project is also operative in Gujarat since 2007.
