Late on Tuesday night, Ahmedabad’s Vastrapur police station staff raided a liquor party and arrested 10 high profile people. The police have taken 4 cars including one Mercedes, 10 mobile phones and liquor bottles in possession.
The party was going on in the complex that also houses Hyderabadi Biriyani restaurant. When Vastrapur police inspector MR Sharma and his staff raided a pent house, they found two liquor bottles, one tin of bear and one empty bottle. Liquor was found in the glasses on table.
One of those arrested in this case is Narendra Tripathi. He is brother of BJP’s Sarkhej area worker and former minister of state for Home Amit Shah’s man Kamlesh Tripathi. Kamlesh is Director of Ahmedabad District Cooperative bank. Another held from the party is Alpeshkumar Rajeshbhai Tripathi. He is also relative of Kamlesh. One Kiranbhai is son of Dashrathbhai Patel of Makarba who is relative of Congress leader and former Chairman of one bank JB Patel.
As those arrested are politically well connected and associated with construction business, they tried their best for their release, but Vastrapur police didn’t succumb.
