Double-decker bus service in Gandhinagar from next month

After a gap of 15 years, the city of Gandhinagar will witness the movement of double-decker buses.
Private bus operator VITCOS has announced to start a double-decker bus service in capital town from 1st of March this year. A new double-decker bus costing Rs 34 lakh, will carry 85 passengers at one go with 43 seats on the lower floor and 32 seats on upper floor. VITCOS has earlier put two double-decker buses on the roads of Bhavnagar last week.
Last double-decker bus service was active in Gandhinagar in 1996 connecting the capital town to the city of Ahmedabad. Later double-decker service was terminated.
