Sabarkantha, Banaskantha get more than 16% of total monsoon rain in one day

There has been heavy rainfall in north Gujarat’s Sabarkantha and Banaskantha district. River Harnav and Vatrak are flooding.
Both districts have received more than 16% of total average Monsoon rain in just 24 hours, and have crossed 20% mark so far. Just before yesterday both districts had only around 5% rainfall.
North Gujarat’s Idar town is now one of the few places in Gujarat that has witnessed surplus rain.
In last 24 hours, north Gujarat’s Amirgadh received 11 inch, Khedbrahma 10.5, Danta 10 inch, Meghraj 5, Idar 9, Bhiloda 6, and Vijaynagar 7 inch.
Some areas of Palanpur are facing water logging.
In another development, water level at Narmada dam has reached 114.19 meter height.
