Rs.one billion work for reconstruction of VS hospital in Ahmedabad awarded, watch graphics, read the details of this crucial project

The governing body of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Medical Education Trust today approved Rs 99.92 crore work of reconstruction of city’s Vadilal Sarabhai (VS) hospital. The construction order has been awarded to M/S Patel Infrastructure Private Limited through bidding process.

The VS hospital was established in 1931. A medical college was added to its 23 acre campus in 1953. Presently the hospital has 1155 + 88 bed facility.

The reconstructed version of hospital will contain 1450 beds with 1.20 lakh square meter built-up area.

The reconstruction project will be over in three years period.

The entire project is worth Rs 331 crore.

The new multi-storied hospital will be built through Chief Minister’s Swarnim Shaheri Vikas Yojna grant money.

-JCI prescribed planning for infection control
