Sasan, other villages in Gir belt observe strike against SC order on translocation of lions

Four villages of Junagadh district located next to Gir lion sanctuary – Sasan, Chitrod, Bhojde and Bhalchhel are observing strike today against Supreme Court decision directing translocation of wild lions to Madhya Pradesh.
People of Sasan organized a protest rally and submitted memorandum to Mamaldar office in Talala.
Wild-life lovers of Junagadh district have organized a meeting at 5.00 pm in Junagadh to take protest to further level.
Sasan Gir’s Jipsy association, taxi association, hotel association also have joined the protest and are on strike today.
