Navratri back to top gear, only three nights left now, celebrations to peak this week-end

Ahmedabad, 11 October 2013
After dull start due to showers, Navratri has been back to top gear in last two days in Amdavad and most of the parts of Gujarat. On Thursday night, the roads of Ahmedabad connecting to Navratri venues were dressing peak-hour style look. All major garba grounds were overflowing with rich presence of garba goers. Restaurants and nashta shops were doing unbelievably great business till late in the night at Nehru nagar circle and elsewhere.
Midnight limit enforced by the High Court is playing villain for not only Garba goers, but also the singers. In recent years, the time-limit rules have taken toll of Dandiya session. At most of the places, however people take liberty and Garba goes on after 12.00, but for just 30-40 minutes.
As there’s no election code-of-conduct effective like last year, singers freely mention Modi in Sanedo couplets, and then you just need to see the response – dupattas flying in air, people jumping like spring and dhoom dhadam everywhere around.
Navratri celebrations will touch peak on Friday-Saturday-Sunday or say the week-end period. After some rainy days, now when things are normal, the garba goers want to make maximum out of rest of the days.
