Rajkot, 2 January 2013
Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Shri Narendra Modi has accepted invitation of Khodaldham trust to attend 21 January event at Kagvad.
Khodaldham trust is organizing international level agriculture fair during 21-24 January at Kagvad. About 700 national and international companies are likely to participate in this event. Farmers will be given guidance and education on modern farm practices.
Khodaldham trust’s trustee Naresh Patel, former BJP MLA Bharat Boghra, Ramesh Tilala, Harshad Malani, Parehs Gajera, Dinesh Kumbhani, Vasant Gajera, Bakul Sorathia and other Leuva Patel community leaders visited Shri Modi in capital Gandhinagar and requested him to grace the occasion. Shri Modi has accepted the invitation.
Khodaldham movement was main vehicle of mobilisation of Leuva Patel votes for Keshubhai Patel led Gujarat Parivartan Party to defeat Narendra Modi in last year’s Gujarat assembly elections. Modi was not invited to grand assembly of Leuva Patels at Kagvad last year. Keshubhai was however not only invited but projected as suitable option for the post of Chief Minister. The movement failed to either defeat BJP or pave a way for victory of Congress/GPP.
The time has changed. A vocal Modi baiter once upon a time, Naresh Patel himself has walked to Modi to invite him to Khodaldham this time.
