Former Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Keshubhai Patel today denied media reports and said he has not decided to retire from public life.
In a statement issued today morning Shri Keshubhai Patel said: After I resigned from the post lf MLA yesterday, there are some speculative reports in print. I was GPP MLA. When GPP passed a resolution to merge in some political party, I told that I will take my decision on my own. I have not decided to join any party, or to accept any position. I have not given a thought to retire from politics. I will take decision, once in better health.
Honorable Advaniji came to wedding of my grandson giving honor to my invitation, but we had not discussed politics during that visit. I am told that I resigned from the assembly for my son, but that’s not true. I have not done any deal for position in my lifetime, and I will not do that in future too. I have submitted my resignation only due to health reasons.
