Cricketer and Bharat Ratna award winner Sachin Tendulkar today visited Shri Somnath mandir with his family. Sachin looked upset due to local crowd constantly surrounding him during his private visit to this tourist place with his children and others.
As soon as Sachin stepped out of his car, large number of common people, visitors, Somnath Trust employees including manager Kamlesh Rawal and some media persons surrounded him. Sachin could not enjoy the place much, and just couldn’t look beyond the shoulders and faces of people surrounding and chasing him at every step. Sachin performed abhishek inside the mandir but that too in front of cameras, and eyes of dozens of people constantly tracking his every movement.
Sachin took a round of Somnath mandir campus. He spent around half an hour in Somnath. His wife was not present with him during this visit.
When TV journalists asked to react, Sachin said he was on a private visit with his family to have darshan here and he doesn’t want to say anything beyond this. Sachin arrived at Diu airport day before yesterday and visited Sasan Gir lion sanctuary yesterday. He went to Rajkot airport to fly back to Mumbai later in the day.
