Gujarat Congress launches another NGO U-Army

On birth anniversary of late prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, the Gujarat Congress today launched Uarmy which has been conceptualized by leader of opposition Shankersinh Vaghela.
Himmatsinh Patel, CJ Chavda and Indravijaysinh Gohil are appointed coordinators and convener of U-Army, while Umakant Mankad, Shahnaz Sheikh, Gulabsinh Rajput, Mansinh Dodiya, Adityasinh Gohil, Rohan Gupta, Lakhabhai Rabari, Amit Chaudhary, Anand Chaudhary, Kalpesh Jani, Manisha Parikh, Sonaldevi Verma are appointed as coordination committee members.
The idea behind this organization is to create a mass agitation against the state government mainly on the issue of unemployment and stipend for unemployed youths.
This is second new organization the Gujarat Congress has formed in a fortnight. Earlier the party had launched Jan Sangharsh Sena on 9th of August.
Websites of U-Army and Jan Sangharsh Sena were launched on this occasion.
The launching event took place in presence of Gujarat Congress leaders Modhwadia, Vaghela, Siddharth Patel, Jagdish Thakor, Himmatsinh Patel, Shailesh Parmar, CJ Chavda, Indravijaysinh Gohil, NSUI and Youth Congress leaders Mansinh Dodiya, Adityasinh Gohil, IT Cell’s Rohan Gupta and Youth Congress, NSUI, IT cell office bearers from across the state.
Congress slams govt for no permission to Rajiv Gandhi event:
Gujarat Congress today slammed state government for cancelling permission to hold 8th Rajiv Gandhi Yuva Udey programme in Ahmedabad due to Model Code of Conduct. Congress leaders Arjun Modhwadia and Shankersinh Vaghela in a statement said that Ellis Bridge police station had granted permission for this event on 19th August in writing, but late in the night permission was canceled due to model code of conduct. Congress party told Special branch of city Commissioner office that entire expenses of this programme will be owned by party as per form-16 provisions, but even after such proposal, the permission was not granted.
