‘Displeased’ senior OBC leader in Gujarat Jagdish Thakor resigns from Congress

Ahmedabad: Former MP and Senior Congress leader from OBC community in Gujarat Jagdish Thakor resigned from the party today.
59 year old Thakor, who has also represented Dehgam assembly seat in Gujarat Vidhansabha in the past has send his resignation to the party high command.
The exact reason behind his resignation was not yet known however it is understood that he was reportedly not happy with the current state leadership.
Mr Thakor had represented last Loksabha from Patan seat in Gujarat.
Congress spokesperson Manish Doshi said that Mr Thakor was not holding any party post currently. ‘He was just a former MP and MLA of the party,’ he said.
