GoI to revive heritage city Dwarka under HRIDAY scheme

Urban development department, government of India is going to develop 12 cities of India under ‘Hriday'(Heritage city Development and Augmentation Yojana) programme. One of the cities selected under this programme is Gujarat’s Dwarka.

This detail was shared by Lok Sabha member of Jamnagar smt Poonamben Madam.

Madam in a statement said, “In his budget speech, union Finance Minister had announced Smart City and Heritage City development schemes. Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu has selected Gujarat’s Dwarka under this scheme.”

She said, “Under this scheme, Dwarka will witness comprehensive development in next four years. This development will result into more facilities for not only locals but also to pilgrims. All development activities will take place keeping heritage value of Dwarka town intact.”

“As per the government directives, the development works will be completed in next four years,” she further added.

Poonamben Madam thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu in a statement.
