National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF) and Gujarat Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN) signed three agreements for marketing and manufacturing of various innovations on 20th Dec. 2014, the first day of Satvik – the traditional food festival organised at IIM Ahmedabad.

The first agreement was signed between NIF & GIAN and grassroots innovators Shri Pareshbhai Panchal (Ahmedabad) and Shri Gopalbhai Suratia (Vadodara) for value addition, product development and marketing of the innovation, ‘Cow Dung Pot Making Machine’. Gopalbhai had developed cow dung pots for nursery saplings and with Pareshbhai developed the pot making machine with support from NIF & GIAN.

The second agreement was signed between GIAN & NIF and Shri Pareshbhai Panchal (Ahmedabad) and Dip Technologies (Ahmedabad) for exclusive marketing rights of the innovation, ‘Cow Dung Pot Making Machine’ for five years in India. Shri Devang Khambhayta (Proprietor) signed the agreement on behalf of Dip Technologies.

The third agreement was signed between GIAN & NIF and Shri Mansukhbhai Jagani (Amreli) and Shri Navkar Metals Ltd (Ahmedabad) for the exclusive manufacturing and marketing rights for the innovation, ‘Seed Cum Fertilizer Dibbler’ in India for five years. Shri Tarakchand Jain (Managing Director) signed the agreement on behalf of Dip Technologies. Shri Jagani had developed the dibbler for easy application of fertilizer or sowing of seeds in the soil.

The three agreements were signed by Shri Mahesh Patel, Chief Innovation Manager (Acting) of GIAN in presence of Dr Vipin Kumar, Director and Chief Innovation Officer of NIF and other colleagues of NIF and GIAN.
