Lord Meghnad Desai receives Sardar Patel award(Photos)

Gujarat Governor presents Vishwa Gujarati Samaj’s Sardar Patel award to Lord Meghnad Desai in a function in Ahmedabad on Saturday. Desai in his speech said that Indian community in London is going to install Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in Britain’s Parliament Square. This will be the only Indian figure’s statue at that place. He said a trust has been formed to make this possible. He made appeal to contribute donation for this cause. Desai said, the nation has got stable government after a long time, but only government will not be able to do every job. People will need to cooperate with the government. He gave example of cleanliness drive and appealed common people to make sure there’s no garbage.
