Kalyani Group to invest Rs 600 crore in Gujarat

Pune-based diversified Kalyani Group today said it will invest Rs 600 crore for upgradation and overhaul of Armoured Fighting Vehicles unit at Dholera, Gujarat.
The Gujarat government has approved investment by the Group to upgrade facilities for armoured fighting vehicles, defence electronic manufacture and radar manufacturing facilities, Kalyani Group said in a statement.
An MoU for upgradation and overhaul of the Dholera plant has been signed.
“This is in line with the vision of the Prime Minister towards ‘Make in India’. We are confident that given an opportunity we can become the manufacturing hub for the world,” Kalyani Group Executive Director Amit B Kalyani said.
Kalyani Group has an annual turnover of over Rs 12,000 crore and market capitalisation of its listed entities stand at approximately Rs 10,000 crore.
