Surat based Veer Narmad South Gujarat University will honor L&T Chairman AM Naik with doctorate.

Naik is likely to be honored with D.Litt. during University’s next convocation ceremony.

12 syndicate members of University had moved proposal to award Naik with D.Litt. The proposal was approved by Syndicate committee meeting yesterday. Syndicate member Sanjay Desai has been handed over a job to see that this proposal get approval in Senate meeting too.

South Gujarat considers AM Naik as proud son of soil. Naik comes from Endhal, a village in South Gujarat, and belongs to a family of teachers. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering college in Vallabh Vidyanagar in Gujarat.
