A 71 km long Galpadar-Mundra four lane highway is ready. Some missing links are however yet to be fixed. The highway is likely to open in full length by end of this year.
Four laning work of this highway has been almost completed at a cost of Rs. 854 crore.
One important part of this project is a 9 km long Anjar bypass with a flyover which will give relief to Anjar town from burden of traffic.
Some missing links in this project include a 4 km stretch which is incomplete due to land acquisition related issues, under construction railway over bridge and shifting of high tension lines. These tasks are likely to be completed by end of this year.
Anjar bypass however will be fully functional in the month of May itself.
