Xi Jinping’s home province delegation visits Narendra Modi’s home state

A delegation from Shaanxi Province of China led by Mr Zhao Zhengyong, provincial party chief of Communist Party of China today called on Gujarat Chief Minister in Gujarat capital Gandhinagar.
As representatives of the home province of President of China, they expressed happiness to visit home state of Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Mr. Zhengyong showed keenness to collaborate on skill-development in Gujarat. He also shared thoughts on rich cultural heritage of both civilizations.
As per the reports, in a rare gesture, Chinese President Xi Jinping wants to host Indian Prime Minister Modi next month in his home state Shaanxi province, and wants to showcase historic past of Shaanxi’s capital Xian, especially its links with India, as famous Buddhist monk Xuan Zang, who traveled to India 2,000 years ago and brought Buddhism to China, spent his final years there. Mr. Modi had hosted Xi Jinping in Gujarat during his visit to India.
