Congress MLA Gyasuddin Sheikh has in a statement issued here said that Shahpur Sadbhavana Samiti has oragnized Roza Iftari programme at Shahpur Rangila chowky which is on the route of anual Rath Yatra.

While Rath Yatra is going to take place on July 18, iftari on Rath Yatra route at Rangila chowky in Shahpur will be organized on July 15.

According to Sheikh, Jagannath Mandir Mahant Shri Dilipdasji Maharaj, trustees of Jagannath Mandir, top police officers, shanti samiti members among others will attend the iftar programme.

Sheikh said the festival of Eid is likely to happen on Rath Yatra day. He said Hindus and Muslims should celebrate both festivals peacefully and jointly to strengthen the atmosphere of communal harmony and unity to take Gujarat further ahead on the path of development.
