Moderate to heavy rains across Gujarat, 118.13 m level at Narmada dam

Parts of north Gujarat, Ahmedabad belt, central Gujarat and south Gujarat received moderate to heavy rains today.
The city of Ahmedabad experienced wet midnight and morning with moderate showers.
Central Gujarat areas including Dabhoi, Vadodara among others received heavy rain. Gujarat Chief Minister’s function had to be shifted to indoor auditorium due to rain and water logging. Orsang river in Chhota Udepur belt was flooding.
In south Gujarat, Poorna river was almost flooding due to good rain in upstream areas including the Dangs. Fire brigade team had to rush to rescue one person with buffaloes stuck in river water. With upto 7 inch rain in Dharampur, Vanki river bridge saw water over surface.
In north Gujarat, Palanpur town received moderate shower.
According to IMD forecast, rains will continue for next two days.
Meanwhile water level at Narmada dam in central Gujarat is up at 118.13 meter due to continuous inflow from upstream areas in Madhya Pradesh.

Vijapur, Mahudha Matar, Thasra, Anand Petlad, Umreth, Dabhoi, Shinor, Chhota Udepur, Navsari, Ahva, Dang, Bhavnagar, Visnagar, Vadnagar, Dahegam, Satlasan etc are other places that witnessed rains today.
