HC clears takeover of Asaram Ashram land in Ahmedabad; over 30 illegal structures to be razed

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court has given the green signal for the takeover of around 45,000 square metres of land belonging to Asaram Ashram, paving the way for the demolition of over 30 illegal structures. Asaram gets six-month suspension of life term from Gujarat HC

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court today granted a six-month suspension of sentence to Asaram, who is serving a life term after being convicted in a 2013 rape case by a Gandhinagar sessions court.
