Surat: On the last day of the 10-day-long Ganeshotsav, Surat witnessed the immersion of over 54,256 idols by 5 p.m. in artificial ponds created by the Surat Municipal Corporation. Surat: A Muslim youth was among five persons nabbed by police after an incident of stone pelting on Ganesh Utsav venue in Variyavi Lal Gate area of Surat. A large number of Hindus gathered at Saiyedpura based Police chowki to protest the incident.
