15% hike reported in cargo handling at GMB-managed ports in Q1 FY24-25

Gandhinagar: Ports regulated, operated, and facilitated by the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) saw a 15% increase in cargo traffic during the first quarter of the 2024-25 financial year compared to the same period last year. Cargo traffic at non-major ports rose from 106 million metric tonnes (MMT) in Q1 2023-24 to 122 million metric tonnes in Q1 2024-25.
