Gandhinagar: Ports regulated, operated, and facilitated by the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) saw a 15% increase in cargo traffic during the first quarter of the 2024-25 financial year compared to the same period last year. Cargo traffic at non-major ports rose from 106 million metric tonnes (MMT) in Q1 2023-24 to 122 million metric tonnes in Q1 2024-25. Porbandar: The Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB) is set to construct a breakwater and two jetties for the Indian Navy in Porbandar and Dwarka, with an estimated cost of Rs 1,038 crore. Gandhinagar: As of December, the Gujarat Maritime Board, which handles 48 non-major posts of the state, had handled 308.9 million tonnes of cargo for the year 2022-23.
