Gujarat ranks 7th in outstanding liabilities among Indian states

Delhi: Gujarat ranks 7th among Indian states in terms of total outstanding liabilities, which have reached ₹4,67,464.40 crore as of 2024. Gujarat has seen a consistent rise in its fiscal liabilities over recent years. In March 2022, the state's liabilities were ₹3,88,582.80 crore. Gross Direct Tax collections surge by 22.19% in FY 2024-25

Delhi: The Ministry of Finance announced in a press release today that Direct Tax collections for the Financial Year (FY) 2024-25 have shown significant growth. As of 17th June 2024, Gross Direct Tax collections have reached Rs. 5,15,986 crore, which is 22.19% higher than the previous fiscal year.
