Ahmedabad: The withdrawal of South West Monsoon from Gujarat finally started today after a delay of over 11 days from normal date of September 15 and a total of 110.66% rain. The monsoon had touched Gujarat on June 12 this year almost 3 days before normal date of June 15. Some villages still water logged in Banaskantha two months after flood, 150 pumps on task

Palanpur: Two months after flood in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat, over 300 MCFT water logging is uncleared. The state administration has installed 150 submersible pumps to flush out the water. Post-flood ther was 636 mcft water logging in low lying areas of Tharad and Vav belts. Of this about half water has been flushed out and released to Narmada canal through pumps. The situation is worst in Nagla, Khanpur and Dod villages.
