Surat: The total volume of water that arrived in Ukai dam this year was 12,040 MCM, against which 7,644 mcm water was released to sea via river Tapi which passes through the city of Surat. Narmada dam is 99.22% full with water level at 138.45 m against highest level of 238.68 m. The outflow in river is 1.42 lakh cusecs at 6 pm today. Surat: For the first time in ongoing monsoon season, gates of Ukai dam are opened for release of water in downstream river Tapi towards Surat. Four gates were opened on August 6 at 4 pm for less than 40,000 cusecs water. The outflow has increased to over 45,000 today. Surat: On 2nd of August 2024, at 6 am, the level of water in Ukai dam touched 100 m level. The highest level in Ukai dam is 105.16, while the rule level mandated up to 1st September is 102.11 m. Ukai Dam is continuing to witness an inflow of over 60,000 cuescs from upstream.
