Gujarat board (GSEB) 12th Science, GUJCET result 2011 today

Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) will declare standard 12 Science exam result today at 9.00 am on its official website. Along with the 12th result, the GSEB will also declare the result of Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET). This year’s board result has unique feature that top-ten list are not to be declared like previous years. Moreover terminology such as ‘pass’ or ‘fail’ will not be used. Terminology – ‘Improvement is necessary’ – will be used for those students getting E-1 and E-2 grades.
Total 91,600 students had appeared in 12th exam in the state. Of them 72% students are in ‘A’ group while rest of the students fall in ‘A-B’ group. This year for the first time, the GSEB is going to give ranking on the basis of percentile rank. Suppose there are 60 students in a class and one student has secured 92 marks while other 54 students have secured 91 or less marks, then 54 divided by 60 into 100 = 90 marks is percentile rank.
