283 participants from 14 states in Girnar hill climbing competition

The national level race to climb the Girnar hill will be held on Friday, February 8th. As many as 283 participants from 14 states of India will participate in this competition. 100 of them are from Gujarat, while 15 are from MP, 30 from Maharashtra, 47 Diu, 1 Jammu and Kashmir, 21 Haryana, 43 Rajasthan, 5 Bihar, West Bengal 3, Karnataka 4, Assam 1 and Chandigadh will send 2 participants.
Last year there were 232 participants, this year there are 50 more participants.
The male participants will have to climb 5500 steps to reach Ambaji mandir and will need to return back to foothill, while female participants will climb 2200 steps to reach Mali Parab.
