First phase of polling on Monday, 7th of April, 111 seats to go to poll in one week


Ahmedabad, 6 April 2014

Polling for the Lok Sabha general elections 2014 will begin on Monday, April 7th. The first day which is April 7th, will witness polling for just 6 seats, that too in just twos states – Assam(5) and Triprua(1).

The second day of polling will be Wednesday, April 9th. Even on this day the polling will be limited to just 7 seats of north east, including Arunachal Pradesh(2), Manipur(1), Meghalaya(2), Mizoram(1) and Nagaland(1).

The more interesting phase of elections will begin on Friday, April 10th with 91 Lok Sabha seats going to poll.

On Sunday, April 12th just 7 seats will go to poll including Assam(3), Goa(2), Sikkim(1) and Tripura(1).

Thus in next one week 111 Lok Sabha seats will go to poll.

Rest of the seats will witness polling on 17th, 24th, 30th April(Gujarat), 7th and 12th May.
