Ahmedabad, 20 March, 2012
Dust storm (mild) has engulfed Gujarat including Ahmedabad. The storm has originated from the desert regions of middle east.
The Major Dust Storm first hit the Gulf Countries and particularly Oman and Sindh regions. However since today morning it is present in Gujarat. It has resulted into the conditions like lesser visibility and pollutant air.
Dusty atmosphere is so intense that it looks like the sun has been almost covered by clouds. Similar situation is there in Rajasthan and Delhi too.
This is unexpected, and it feels like one is breathing partly dust and partly oxygen.
Dust storms even the mild one can cause health problems like difficulty in breathing and irritation in eyes, precaution is required till the storms continues.
Interestingly, this widespread dust, blowing sand has arrived from middle east(refer the picture presented above). It is predicted that it will continue in Pakistan and Gujarat for a day or so.
