Narendra Modi kicks off Rs 70 crore pilgrim/tourist infrastructure project at Shamlaji mandir

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today performed ground breaking for Shamlaji mandir campus and pilgrim infrastructure development works. Modi said that with the development of Shamlaji, the Buddhist heritage site of Dev-ni-mori will also be developed, which would ultimately put Shamlaji on world tourism map.
The Rs 70 crore development project of shamlaji mandir will give Ambaji-style look, status and facilities to Shamlaji, Shri Modi said adding that tribal people will taste benefits of new mode of employment generated through tourism. Shri Modi honored the donors who gifted gold for the gates and crown of Lord Shamlaji.
In a function held on this occasion Shri Modi gave agricultural right in forest land, village plots and housing aid to 29,535 homeless and below poverty line tribal. Shri Modi also gave away cheques to Sakhi mandal women.
