Along with the Royal Norwegian Embassy Ambassador Mr. Eivind Homme, a delegation came to participate in Vibrant Gujarat-2015 met Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel here in Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar and showed their interest to cooperate with Gujarat in multiple sectors such as Ship Building and Ship Breaking, Hydropower, Renewable Energy, High-Tech Food Production, Radar based Vessels Traffic Management system.

The Norway Envoy congratulated Mrs. Patel over the successful planning of Vibrant Summit as the first woman Chief Minister of Gujarat.

During this meeting, Mrs. Patel was informed by them that the great company of Norway-UNINOR which is providing their services for cheaper rates in India and will provide their 2G services, specifically in rural areas within nearer future. The delegation also informed Mrs. Patel that the Compact company which is producing Specialized Food Paste in India to prevent malnutrition in children. They gave positive response to Mrs. Patel about her suggestion to start a pilot project under CSR norms in a taluka of Gujarat.

The delegation also provided the details about the notable partnership of Norway in several sectors in India such as external coating in pipeline works and about their partnership with L&T, Adani Ports for work in pipeline / infrastructure / gas / energy sectors. They also informed about 50% women empowerment in their cabinet as their present woman Prime Minister.

In this regard Mrs. Patel briefed them about 33% women reservation, financial assistance to women for preparation for higher competitive exams and new initiation regarding gender budget, the delegation impressed with hearing this words from Mrs. Patel.
