Surendranagar: The youth of the Kshatriya community in the city burned an effigy of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to express their discontent with his remarks about kings.
Last week, Rahul Gandhi stated in his speech that kings used to seize the lands of people. Since these remarks, there has been widespread anger among the Kshatriya community as no apology has been issued by the former Congress president.
It is noteworthy that Kshatriyas have already been protesting against Union Minister Parshottam Rupala’s remarks, despite his multiple apologies. Rahul Gandhi’s statement has further intensified tensions. The protesting youth emphasized that the Kshatriya community does not need to become hand of any political party and, as a symbolic protest, burned Rahul Gandhi’s effigy in Surendranagar. DeshGujarat
