Mahesana:
The head of Umiyadham trust of Unjha, the supreme religious body of Kadva Patel faction of Patidar community, Vikram Patel today categorically said that PAAS leader Hardik Patel had not contacted him for any ‘quota formula’.
After the press conference of Hardik Patel in Ahmedabad in which he claimed that he has accepted the Congress formula on quota to Patidar and other non-reserved community and it has been approved by other outfits of the community including Umiyadham and Khodaldham, Vikram Patel said that Hardik’s claim was completely false.
He said that Hardik had last met him during the meeting convened by DyCM Nitin Patel.
‘We know that quota was not possible unless there was two-third majority of the government in Loksabha and Rajyasabha and it changes constitution for it,’ he said.
‘Umiyadham is not a political institution. We don’t have anything to do with Hardik Patel’s claim. Though we believe that all the economically weaker sections should get quota benefit if possible,’ he said.
