Bhavnagar: Dahej - Ghogha ro ro passenger ferry service which is operated by Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB) and private company Indigo Overseas under Public Private Partnership(PPP) model will not operate during the period of monsoon.
The service was suspended for the period of monsoon with effect from today morning.

Surat: Dumas police has booked four for anchoring a ship on ABG Shipyard jetty in Magdalla without permission of Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB).

India's first ocean going Ro-Pax vessel has been acquired by Indigo Seaways for Ghogha - Dahej ferry service.
Since terminal and dredging is already completed, the second phase of Ro - Pax service is ready to be rolled out when the ship arrives in June.

Jamnagar: Signal number one was put up at ports in coastal Saurashtra today. Signal one implies a low pressure area is forming far at sea and surface wind could be upto 33 knots (about 60 kmph). This signal means the port is not affected but warns of slightly higher wind speed. Singal one was put up following the order from Gujarat Maritime Board head office in Gandhinagar in view of depression in Arabian sea off Kerala coast.

Porbandar:Foreign passenger vessel MV Silver Spirit (Built 2009) with total 367 crew and total 471 Passenger arrived at Gujarat Maritime Board Jetty on Porbandar Port yesterday. Her last port of call was Mumbai. The ship departed to next port of call Muscat (Oman) in the evening. The foreign tourists mainly from America and Britain visited Mahatma Gandhi's birth place Kirti Mandir in Porbandar during the afternoon.

Gandhinagar: After the planned halt for installation of link-span for vehicle movement at Ghogha, the Ghogha-Dahej passenger ferry service has resumed operation today.
Operations were suspended on January 3 for installation of 820 tonne, 96 metres long link span on Ghogha side. Similar link span at Dahej side has been installed already. With this the infrastructural works on both sides are completed.

Bharuch: Ghogha - Dahej passenger ferry service will be suspended from January 5 for temporary period for installation of link span on Ghogha side.
While there's permenent link span installed on Dahej side, the Ghogha side facility has just a walkway and not link span.
