Gandhinagar: Gujarat Maritime Board today said it has signed a total of 13 MOUs with an integrated investment of Rs. 19542 Cr amidst a special ceremony organized during the seminar- Port Led Development & Strategies to establish India as the Transhipment hub of Asia, as part of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019.

Bharuch: It is learnt that Indigo Seaways, a private operator which runs Dahej - Ghogha ro-pax ferry service has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining about lack of regular dredging by the State government arm Gujarat Maritime Board(GMB). Bhavnagar: Three people are feared dead as a tug boat on which they were aboard drowned after a blast in it in the gulf of Cambay at around 15 nautical miles from Ghogha coast in Bhavanagar district of Gujarat, police said.
A total of 7 crew members were on board the tug boat Varun. 4 of them were somehow rescued while 3 others who drowned were still missing, a marine police official said.
The boat reportedly had taken diesel cans for refueling of a bigger ship.

Bhavnagar: While passenger-only ship Indigo One is functioning regularly on Ro-Ro ferry route connecting Dahej to Ghogha, the Ro-Pax ferry ship Voyage Symphony which can carry passengers, cargo and vehicles is still out of operation due to ongoing repairing work.

Update: Vice-Chairman & CEO, Gujarat Maritime Board, Mukesh Kumar said that the ship with a maximum capacity of 525 passengers got an high temperature alarm and its engine stopped working. After that two tug boats tugged it back to Ghogha safely. There were 461 passengers and around 90 vehicles on board.'We are going to use the Ro-Ro boat Indigo sea for the evening services. We will examine the technical faults of the Ro-pax boat and see what went wrong and how it could be mended,' he added.

Bharuch/Bhavnagar: DG Sea Connect, a private operator that operates Dahej-Ghogha ro-pax ferry service has announced new timings for the service fro 1st December 2018. According to the latest announcement, the ferry service from Ghogha will depart at 8 am and 4 pm every day while from Dahej it will depart at 11 am and 7.30 pm.

Ghogha (Gujarat): CM Vijay Rupani today said that Ghogha, from where India's largest Ro-pax ferry service started today, the passenger based Ro-Ro service would also start for all important port of Hazira in Surat by December this year.

Bhavnagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today launched Ro-Pax ferry service between Ghogha (Bhavnagar district in Saurshtra region) and Daej (Bharuch district of Central Gujarat region) which is first of its kind in India. Ro-Pax service, trial run for which are completed will start its services with South Korea manufactured Voyage Symphony vessel. With this, already existing passenger ferry service will also resume its services post monsoon break.

Ahmedabad: India's first Ro-Pax ferry service between Ghogha and Dahej ports will be launched by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on 27th October. With this the Vessel 'Voyage Symphony' which has been made in South Korea will sail on its maiden journey from Ghogha terminal to Dahej. Voyage Symphony has already conducted trial runs on this route successfully recently.
The high speed 'passenger' ferry service on the same route was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22nd October 2017.

Bharuch: First trial run of RoPax vessel - Voyage Symphony from Ghogha to Dahej and docking at Dahej Terminal has been successful. Commercial services will be started shortly, tweeted Gujarat Maritime Board CEO Mukesh Kumar(IAS).
