Gujarat: A day after Ahmedabad Bomb blasts

Official death toll crossed 49
After serial bomb blasts on Saturday evening, death toll of Ahmedabad blasts has crossed 49 on Sunday evening while figure of injured victims is at 203 among which 114 are under treatment in hospitals.
Cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar
Chief Minister Narendra Modi convened cabinet meeting in Gandhinagar today morning. Gujarat police chief P.C.Pande was also present to brief about police version. Probe of bomb blasts has been assigned to Crime branch. “state government have decided to form a Task force coordination committee. Principal secretary(home) will preside this committee. Forensic Science Laboratory chief, Gujarat police chief, secretory Law and Order and IB chief are four members of this committee. This committee will coordinate with other state government’s concern departments that are dealing with similar blasts investigations in their states. We can not look at Ahmedabad blasts in isolated way. Ahmedabad blasts were part of nation-wide series of acts of terror.” Minister of state for home Amit Shah said talking to the reporters after cabinet meeting.
ATS team in Mumbai active
Team of Anti Terrorist squad, Gujarat police was continuously in touch with their counterparts at Mumbai where Sanpada area’s foreign citizen is under investigation in connection with email from his IP address that was received by media office five minutes before the blast.
Flag March of armed forces including Army
To avoid any unlikely reaction of yesterday’s blasts, central government forces like Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF), Rapid Action Force(RAF) and Army were deployed in and around Muslim areas. Flag march of army was talk of the town.
Advani in Ahmedabad today
Leader of opposition L.K.Advani is visiting Ahmedabad today. He will visit hospitals. Arun Jaitly may accompany him. Advani’s is expected to arrive at 3.00 P.M.
Live Bomb recovered in Surat
In Surat one doubtful object was found on the railway station. Whole railway station was vacated to check. On another call Surat police rushed to the City lite road where live bomb was found and diffused.
NSG and FSL teams busy collecting evidences
Forensic experts from Gandhinagar FSL thoroughly visited and checked each blast site. Seven members National Security Guard(NSG) team also thoroughly investigated sites of blasts and collected evidences. NSG worked indipendently without the help of Gujarat police. They had ultra-modern equipments.
“Brother, Task has been accomplished”
Kamlesh Patel a resident from Sanala village in Amreli district has informed police that he had recieved two mysterious phone calls at the time of bomb-blasts. Both were received from Reliance telephone numbers. Caller said “Bhai, kaam ho gaya hai(brother task has been accomplished)” In second call Kamlesh Patel could heard a background voice similar to blast. When Patel tried repeatedly to dial same numbers that he had received, there was no reply. Patel has given those numbers to police. Police is investigating.
Mobile video of blast
Ahmedabad’s Bapunagar area resident Vijay Patel could captured an unclear and shaken video of live blast through his mobile phone. One TV news channel showed this video repeatedly today.
