And Gujarat Congress is continuing to follow Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
First they organized counter fast following Modi’s Sadbhavana fast in Ahmedabad. Now when Modi is all set to kick off district wise Sadbhavana fasts starting from Dwarka in Jamnagar district on 16th of this month, Gujarat Congress MP from Jamnagar Vikram Madam is also going to sit on district level counter fast on same day in Dwarka.
Jamnagar MP had sought permission to organize counter fast in the ground next to NDH high school, however district collector turned down his this request. Later Congress MP selected another 720 ha open plot which is located next to Kandas bapu ashram and Satvara community plot. After receiving green signal from the state government, district collector on Wednesday evening approved Congress MP’s application.
Congress MP had also sought reservation for two rooms in Dwarka circuit house on 16th, however concerned government official replied him in writing that due to Chief Minister’s fast programme, all 14 rooms were already booked.
While Jamnagar Congress MP intends to gather 15000 persons in his fast programme to show his strength, the state administration has reserved 251 government and private buses for Chief Minister’s fast programme.
According to district Collector Sandipkumar, the Chief Minister will first go to Dwarka Jagatmandir for darshan of Shri Dwarikadheesh and then will come to the venue of fast just next to Dwarka circuit house. Between 10.30 to 11.30 am, the Chief Minister will be visited by various religious leaders. In next one hour, the Chief Minister will offer one-to-one interactions. Later between 3.30 to 5.00 youths and women representatives will react on Sadbhavana mission. Concluding function will be held between 5.00 and 6.00 pm.
According to district Collector, various programmes like village meetings, essay writing, elocution, drawing competitions etc are held in villages of six talukas namely Dwarka, Kalyanpur, Khambhalia, Bhanvad, Jamjodhpur and Lalpur.
After Dwarka, the Chief Minister will sit on next district level Sadbhavana fast at Navsari in south Gujarat on 20th.
