Japan’s Mitsui India Chairman-cum-Managing Director Mr. Suzuki here today met with Gujarat Chief Minster Mr. Narendra Modi and briefed him about the details of a Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) manufacturing plant to be set up in collaboration with Meghmani Group in the private joint sector at Dahej.

Welcoming the new enterprise, Mr. Modi expressed happiness at Gujarat’s growing collaboration with Japan, particularly after Japan became a partner in Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors’ Summit. He also briefed about the up and coming Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project in collaboration with Government of India and Japanese Government, with corridor occupying maximum area in Gujarat.

Mr. Modi also discussed Japan’s keen interest to develop two eco cities in the state, one in the automobile zone.

Prominent among those present during the meeting were Meghmani Group Directors Mr. Jayantibhai Patel and Mr. Rameshbhai Patel, Gujarat Government’s Principal Secretary (Industries) Mr. M. Sahu, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Mr. K. Kailashnathan, Industries Commissioner Mr. B.V. Swain and iNDEXTb Managing Director Mr. Mukesh Kumar.
