Gujarat High Court today gave relief to Ahmedabad’s Vastrapur lake based Cinepolis multiplex. The district Collector had canceled the license of Cinepolis for a month on receiving complains from residents of Vastrapur area. Cinepolis challenged this decision in Gujarat High Court. While hearing the matter, the court said that under Cinema rules, the district Collector has no power to suspend license of the multiplex. This means, the multiplex will be functional again.
